School Discipline: Respect, Responsibility & Conduct

The school lays ample stress on inculcating inner discipline — the base for all future success. Together with parents, we nurture punctual, respectful and responsible young women who stand out by the way they carry themselves.

School Discipline and Code of Conduct

School Discipline & Code of Conduct

We expect our parents to honour the school rules and regulations and ensure that their wards also do the same.

Our Expectations

  • Students must come to the school punctually and regularly, dressed tidily in the proper school uniform.
  • We expect our students to stand out by the way they carry themselves, behave and talk — whether among themselves or with the staff members, visitors and outsiders.
  • Any disobedience, misbehaviour, rudeness or use of improper language will be dealt with seriously.

Punctual & Regular

Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, misconduct or bad moral influence may cause the expulsion of the child from the school.

Motorised Vehicles

Students should not drive motorised vehicles to and from the school unless they have valid licences and have secured the permission of the school authorities to do so. It is mandatory to wear helmets while driving, else they will not be allowed to enter the school premises.

Parents & Guardians Shall Ensure Their Ward Does Not

  • disobey/answer back his teachers & seniors.
  • damage/spoil school property, furniture & walls etc.
  • bring any mobile phones, I-Pods, cameras, CD’s or any other objectionable materials in the school premises.
  • bring/fire crackers in the school premises.
  • bring/splash colours in the school premises.
  • wear any rings, bracelets, ear rings or any other items of jewellery in the school premises.

Note: The school can take any action if their ward violates any of the above.

Terms of Reference & Responsibilities

  • To maintain discipline and decorum within the school premises.
  • To monitor student punctuality, attendance, uniform, conduct and adherence to school rules.
  • To promote mutual respect, responsibility, self-discipline and positive behaviour among students.
  • To prevent bullying, fighting, intimidation and other forms of misconduct.
  • To investigate disciplinary incidents fairly, impartially and confidentially.
  • To counsel students and communicate with parents wherever necessary.
  • To recommend appropriate corrective and proportionate action in accordance with school rules and applicable regulations.
  • To maintain records of disciplinary incidents, counselling and follow-up action.
  • To coordinate with the Principal and the relevant child-protection or other designated committee in cases requiring specialised intervention.
  • To organise awareness programmes on discipline, good conduct, digital responsibility and respectful behaviour.

Meetings and Reporting

  • The committee shall meet as and when required and periodically review disciplinary matters.
  • Minutes of meetings and records of action taken shall be maintained.
  • Serious matters involving child safety shall be reported promptly to the Principal and referred to the appropriate designated authority or committee.
  • All actions shall be consistent with applicable CBSE guidelines, child-protection laws and the school’s approved policies.
